oDesk, the Premier WAH Bidding Site

OK it's Saturday and what better day to sign up with oDesk than today! I usually find new opportunities on the weekends because this is when I have my most sufficient free time.

By now you should know that WAH generally stands for "work-at-home." This is what I have been doing from home part-time lately and I expect with more opportunities overall, to make it full-time. I wanted to share oDesk with you because I have been doing so well on there. I never thought that I'd be able to make such great supplemental (for me it's primary!) income on any kind of website.

I want to go ahead and say that when you do sign up, please use my referral link as I will get credit for your signing up. So, oDesk is a work-at-home bidding site where you bid on each assignment-- you're more or less competing with others for the same position (just like in the "real world," right!). It's very easy. No exaggeration there.

You read the employers job description and if you fit the bill, you click a button that says "apply" and you cater your cover letter to that employer and his special job posting. You don't even have to submit a resume!! Just make your cover letter really good and especially for that job posting so they know it's not generic.

Before any of this, you must create a profile and pass an "oDesk Readiness Test," with about 40 questions, which determines your level of seriousness about applying for jobs on oDesk.

Simple Work-at-Home Opp

One of the most efficient around, Opinion Outpost; It is reputable and thus well worth your work-time. You will get paid to take surveys online that last from 5 to 30 minutes. Most survey panels give you gift cards and compensations, and yet Opinion Outpost is giving nothing but cash, which is most beneficial. Since December 2010 I have acquired $45.30 from simply being a general survey panel user, with $3.20 in the bank. And as an affiliate, I actually have reached $16 and can automatically cash-out at 20 dollars.

Shelling out extra time accepting survey offers will make sure that you establish a lot more money. Opinion Outpost pushes the surveys straight to your e-mail and you follow the link through to your survey form opportunity and then begin qualifying! Qualification is based on the retailer and or client and as soon as you do not qualify you'll opt out of that respective market research and end up with the choice between making a instant donation courtesy of Opinion Outpost, a chance at an instant $50 and one other quick alternative. The amount of time of the questionnaire pinpoints the amount of cash you get paid.

You can cash out at 50 points (or $5) if you are a panel member, and the paycheck arrives fast. I have been a member for some time now and it is for sure my very preferred survey site out there. Register here if you need to produce some additional money!

Very best,

Near-free Deals at Hallmark! $10/$10, $5/$5

Lots of great promotions going on at Hallmark, glad I was able to get in. The $10 off $10 has been pulled though so only the $5 off $5 is available here, exp 12/5. Should be able to print 2 or more of those.

Sooo I did the rest of my $10/$10 Q's today so that's the last of those. Printed two of these $5/$5 Q's and looks like I'll have to go again on 12/5!!

I decided to stock up on Christmas wrapping paper, gift bows, gift tags (sooo nice, not the sticky kind, these are removable!) and gift bags!!! Might as well, won't have to buy any with my money for a while, hehehe!

Here are my deals:

Homemaking: Dishwashing Powder

Now, this is a frugal blog, mind you, lol. I ran into this online! I hate spending money on "Cascade" and even toilet paper. lol don't think there are any TP substitutes, but here's a great one for dishwashng powder, lol! Can't wait to try it out-- funnn!!! I've saved and printed this as well.

Use baking soda/vinegar to clean dishes. I have seen tips on using baking soda as a substitute for dish washing liquid or powder but they usually involved adding some other cleaning element as well, and I have seen the use of vinegar for many cleaning uses but I have not yet seen these two in combination.
I had dish powder left over still to use, but I had become frustrated with finding my dishes not clean and the rather expensive dish powder clumped in the receptacle.

Major fun at Old Navy Black Friday 2010!

Just came back from ON (got there around 12:05am) and had to park all the way in the back! lol. At least I didn't have to wait in line or outdoors! Got 2 pair of $5 sleep pants! I've been waiting on these for a while, they are my fave!! The most I've paid for one was about $10, so 50% discount is great! And they had my size!! I'm so grateful they had my size. I've been eying the pink and blue ones for a long time, even looked 'em up online a couple of times. I'm working from home and I'm lounging around a lot and I love it, bless God so now I have 3 pairs. Yaay :) :) Superiorly happy!!

Will have to give a review of these at oldnavy.com too. I wanted some really festive ones, so I'd say mission accomplished! If you decide to go today, check the Black Friday ad beforehand (see post #49) and go in with a list.

Here are the ones I got:

My New Duraflame!

I am sooo in love! This is my new baby I ordered from QVC. She's not exactly here yet because I just purchased her on QVC today, but she'll be here soon!! Isn't she so pretty? She's a portable electric stove heater. I call her my "Baby Fireplace," lol. I have actually been eyeing her for two years now. Not this exact model, but a baby fireplace in general. For two years!! Now I finally have her.

This is my very first purchase from QVC. They made it so easy! Four easy payments of $28.75. Thank you Lord I love this little jewel! She comes with a remote control, and it is a metal frame. I really love the craftsmanship here. The fire engine red, the window-esque front, the cut of the legs, the cute hinges and the pretty fire-look with the embers and flames.

Alma Mater

This photo deeply reminds me of my alma mater, East Carolina University. I visited my college's hometown one week ago, but still think about it very often. This girl looks like me. Only, I'm Black. The scrunchy, casual hoodie, the long hair. I love her.

The background resembles a chilly day on ECU's campus. The wind blowing ever-so slightly, just enough to give you a sweet cold-chill. At night, I would sneak out of my dorm on a Fall/Winter evening just to go grab a snack at the corner shop on campus, or some take out from the Dining Hall.

I'd throw on my grey sweats, toss on my matching hoodie, and hop on my bicycle. I want to print this photo out and tack it on my bedroom wall.

$1 off Post-It Brand Items!

Was visiting the AFC forum and the girls were chatting about back-to-school/office supplies sales and deals. I'm going to be purchasing my brand new office area very soon and need goodies to fill the drawers with, lol! Only kidding. I have a bunch of office items from last years CVS deals and things. Waiting again this year to rack up!!! Going to go check the flier in a sec as well for this coming week.

Anywho, I read often and love Post-Its Flags. They are my favorite. I love the little bright neon ones. I put them on my favorite Bible verses, scriptures, book chapters-- anything that I want to highlight (hence, "neon!") and use them to track/bookmark my offline journaling pages. I am looking forward to searching for these at Office Depot coming up in a few days, Lord willing. They sent us some really good coupons!!

FREE CHEESE AT FOOD LION! 6/16-6/29

There are $2 off Food Lion Cheese coupons in the online Shoppers Companion [http://www.foodlion.com/Shoppers-Companion]. Pair these with the 8oz blocks of Food Lion cheese and you've got yourself some freeeeee cheese!

The cheese is a "new low price" item at Food Lion, so it will always be $2. This deal ends 6/29 because that is when the FLIP [coupon] expires.

I nabbed three free blocks today! No tax! NOTHING! Thanks to the girls on AFC. I think it is safe to admit that I have become bit of a cheese connoisseur over the past few years!! I mean I know Food Lion cheese doesn’t necessarily meet the list of “special cheese” requirements, but it is sooo good! Sharp and extra sharp cheddar cheese in any brand is going to treat you really well!

I was able to freeze these once I got them home and the taste was superb, only there was some crumbling. Here’s to cheese lovers around the world! Saltine crackers with cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, cheese eggs, grated cheese topping… Cheers! Ohh how I wish I had more Q’s so I could stockpile these one by one. I’m just glad I was able to get in on this deal!!

YIPPIEEE!!,

Thanks, Blogger!

Thanks to Blogger, my blog looks 110% better!

Before, we were restricted to two-column blogs. Now look. VOILA! Three-columns!!! I am beyond excited for the new and varied options that Blogger is allowing us. I am so glad to be a member of blogger.com and would never consider switching to a different platform such as Wordpress.

THANK YOU, BLOGGER! The advantages of the three-column template are particularly useful for blogging affiliates and those who like to put their knickknacks on display (ie; widgets, buttons, etc). Another valuable side to this new template option is organization. Your content goes in the middle, and everything else that you would like to share can now be placed on two sidebars.

Photo:

To experience this new look, just find the “design” tab at the top of your dashboard and get to choosing a template and a color scheme if you’re really good at configuring HTML.

I have decided to go with a cleaner look and I am enjoying it very much. It even makes me want to go out and do some more shopping/couponing just so I can blog about it here. Hehehe.

We've even picked up some new subscribers {RSS} since the switch. Glad that we're making up for the 40+ that we lost when we changed our blog name. Anywho, enjoy this new look-- I am!, And welcome!, :}
